STRUCTURAL GEOLOGICAL SERVICES
All of Tektonik’s work is founded on our expertise in the application of structural geology to mineral exploration and production, which are offered as the following core services.
Geological Mapping
Field, open pit and underground geological mapping to capture and understand the project geology
- Deposit- to regional-scale mapping of mineralised geological terrains.
- Highly-experienced in open pit and underground environments.
- Advice on mapping strategies and technologies in different environments.
- Training in digital and paper-based geological mapping.
Drill Core Analysis
Collection and analysis of critical geological data from drill core and downhole logs:
- Analysis of structurally-complex deposits from drillhole data
- Collection of salient structural data from drillcore
- Interpretation of acoustic and optical televiewer data
- Data auditing and QAQC
- Training and advice on project-specific data acquisition and QAQC.
Regional Interpretation
Integrated interpretation of regional geological and geophysical data to support exploration targeting
- Geologically-meaningful interpretations of structure, lithology and alteration developed within the regional context
- Experienced with major data types (magnetics, IP (resistivity, chargeability), gravity, VTEM, etc.)
- 2D/3D interpretation and modelling of seismic data.
- Interpretation of down-hole geophysical data
Geological Modelling
Considered 3D modelling of drillhole data to provide a robust basis for targeting, estimation, mine design and planning
- Expert geological modelling using Leapfrog Geo software
- Development of 3D structural, lithological and alteration models of a deposit or at the camp-scale
- 3D modelling of major structures for geotechnical and groundwater evaluations
- Construction of geologically-robust mineralisation wireframes suitable for the estimation of Mineral Resources.
Technical Advice & Reporting
Tektonik can offer well-founded exploration advice and can undertake technical report writing
- Exploration planning
- Advice on best practices
- Set-up of data collection protocols and safeguards (QAQC)
- Geological audits
- Qualified/Competent Person’s reporting
